It is said that many years ago in the month of Shravan, the doors of the temple were closed at 10:30 pm as usual. That night suddenly at around 3:00, the doors of the temple opened on their own. Bells started ringing automatically. When the priests and saints present in the temple went to the sanctum sanctorum and saw, Lord Shiva was adorned and his aarti had been done. It is believed that the gods and goddesses had worshipped Lord Shiva.
Many people also saw a 20 feet long white bearded Baba in the temple. Not only this, Hanuman ji is also seen visiting the temple.
It is believed that if a person offers water to the Shivling with devotion for 40 days, then all his wishes are fulfilled before 40 days.
