A unique shade of Surya Pooja was seen on the great festival Chhath in Bihar
Patna. On the third day of Chhath, the festival of folk faith and sun worship, the devotees offered arghya to the setting Sun on Thursday. From the banks of the Ganga to the banks of various water bodies in entire Bihar including Patna, lakhs of devotees offered arghya to the setting Sun and worshiped Lord Bhaskar.On the last day of this four-day ritual on Friday, the devotees will offer arghya to the rising Sun in the morning. With this, Chhath Puja will conclude. Thousands of devotees reached the Chhath Ghat of Ganga for Chhath festival. From common to special, everyone got immersed in devotion. The whole of Bihar has become devotional about Chhath. From the Ganga Ghat to the banks of various rivers, ponds and water bodies, a flood of devotion overflowed.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar offered arghya to the Sun at the Chief Minister's residence. His family is celebrating Chhath festival.
Chhath Puja has also been organized at the official residence of Bihar Government's Urban Development Minister Nitin Nabin. This fast has been observed by Nitin Nabin's wife. The family members and Minister Nitin Nabin himself offered arghya to the setting Sun. Health Minister Mangal Pandey's family is also immersed in Surya Pooja. He also offered water to the setting sun.
Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai reached Konhara Ghat in Hajipur and offered water to Lord Bhaskar. During this, he also took blessings from Chhath devotees. On Chhath, traditional songs of Chhath Puja kept resonating from the localities to the banks of the Ganga, i.e. in the entire area. All the roads of the capital Patna are decorated like a bride.
Tight security arrangements have been made on the Ganga Ghats for the Chhath festival. From the main roads of the capital to the streets, cleaning has been done.
On Wednesday evening, the devotees worshiped Lord Bhaskar and did Kharna. With Kharna, the 36-hour Nirjala fast of the devotees started. The fast of the devotees will end only after offering water to the rising sun on the fourth and last day of the festival i.e. Friday. After this, the devotees will again take food and water and do 'Paran'.
